With more than a decade of experience at Penn State, Brian has held several roles that shaped his deep understanding of university operations. In the Office of the Vice President for Commonwealth Campuses (OVPCC), he served as Assistant Director of Financial Operations, overseeing financial activities across 20 campus locations. In that role, he managed the budget development and execution process and provided guidance on financial policy, processes, and procedures. Prior to joining the OVPCC, Brian contributed to the implementation of SIMBA (SAP S/4HANA), replacing a 50‑year‑old legacy system. He worked diligently to meet project deliverables and ensure consistent communication with stakeholders. Earlier in his career, Brian supported the University Budget Office, preparing reports and presentations for senior leadership and assisting with the management of the University’s $5.1B annual operating budget. He began his Penn State career in the Office of Global Programs as a Financial Coordinator, where he discovered a passion for higher education, student engagement, and fiscal stewardship for more than 250 Education Abroad programs. As a Penn State alumni himself and a local to State College, his commitment to Penn State began at an early age going to regular sporting events with family and friends.
